lots to tell.......

so its been a million years since my last blog! lots has happened since the last time i posted here......

me and the a1 boys/old men have been busy in the studio too, coming up with some awesome new tracks that you will all hear soon im sure.

i also bought a violin...........bit of a mistake. in my head i can play it very well but in reality its the worst sound ive ever heard. gonna need to practice that one........alot.

also rented a boat for a week in turkey which was amazing! would highly recommend it to anyone who wants the most relaxing holiday ever. :)  

in other news, my side project 'WHAT JANE DID NEXT' finally got its official release exclusively on itunes. im not gonna do any promo around it as i have far too much to do as it is with a1 but its there for anyone who wants to download it and hear me singing...er......very differently. was a fun record to make! here's the link to the itunes store.............http://itunes.apple.com/gb/album/what-jane-did-next/id453876448

also, not forgetting the most aweful news ive ever heard over in norway. i still cant believe it happened. my love and support goes out to all norwegians and especially those who were directly involved. just shocking. :(

bad enough vs stereo love

so i havnt blogged in a while-thats because ive been too busy doing very important things. so important i cant reveal what they are for fear of other people stealing my ideas. brilliant ideas. inspirational thoughts. genious inventions. oh and i played some ps3.

anyway-look what i found! someone put together the best dance record ever! fills me with the summer spirit and should be blasted out of enormous speakers at every party. its a1's bad enough mashed up with edward maya's stereo love. its AMAZING! so turn your computer speakers up full blast, grab a coke, put your shades on, press play and kick back while the soothing tones of a1 take you on a journey through the world of dance. share it with your friends. they will like you more.

oh and here is a picture of me and sara on 17th of may. she made me take off my king henry the 8th costume. :( i just wanted to fit in. so to rebel i wore scruffy jeans. yeah check me out. bad boy til i die. that showed her.........

royal rumbled........

did we all enjoy the royal wedding? im not usually excited by that kind of thing but it was pretty awesome. except from the long sermons and dreary funeral music. :p this was my favourite picture from the wedding. really captures the heart of the day......

one thing for sure. kate loves willy.

oh and this is priceless. a nun wearing reebok trainers at the wedding. amazing taste. :P

so after the wedding we had a visit from saras parents from norway. went to the bluebird on the kings road for dinner with mum and lucy which was great! not sure why we are all so red in the picture but hey ho.

mark and i also hit the studio last week and i can report we have some very exciting new songs on the go! cant wait to play them to everyone. but we need to produce them up properly first.

and for those of you that missed it the first time round, here is a picture of me in full choir gear with the pope. they did ask me to sing at the royal wedding, but i was too busy lying in bed...... and that is basically what has been going on in ben world for the past few days. will put up some clips from some writing sessions soon so you guys get a glimpse of whats going on. :)

a1 studio day. odd video. special hand.

so today is one of the first studio days for new a1 material. any suggestions what kinda track you guys would like to hear next? all suggestions welcome! well, all sensible suggestions. :p is it too early to write christmas songs? always wanted to do that! or brandon flowers? anyone feeling his stuff? so many questions. so few answers. and to puzzle you more, here is a little video i did in response to marks wonderful blog. although im not sure if this harms me or him. probably me. what possessed me to do this? why did these noises come from my mouth? why am i posting it up here? all these questions remain unanswered. decide for yourself..........(i worry myself sometimes)

ill post up some pics from the studio later so check in here when you can! but in the meantime, here is one of my favourite mark pics. what a lovely hand. really masculine.

the royal wedding invite........

first and foremost a huge thank you to kate and wills for the invite. i must however decline the kind offer as i havnt spoken to old willy shakey (obvious nickname) since he trashed my grandmothers house in woking in 2006, and i feel it would be wrong to act as if nothing has happened without so much as an apology. also, he has adopted a strange way of speaking and i can seldom understand what he is saying. and his moustache tickles my top lip terribly.

anyway, here is a picture taken from the norwegian press about sara's band and check out the link to the story below. its written in norwegian so for those of you that dont understand it, it basically says- 'sara is in a band called meow. ben is very talented and handsome. he is also very funny. what a great guy. a gift to the world.' you know, the usual.

mums easter gift.............

just when i thought it was safe, mum surprised us with her easter gift to us all. she has never been the best of cooks and this is a wonderful addition to her culinary collection. you would be forgiven for mistaking them for dog turds (i can say that as mum isnt computer literate enough to work out how to read my blog). lets hope they dont taste as bad as they look. oh, and mum didnt want to be photographed so this was the best shot i could get! ha ha!
